Step into the future through poetry and creativity at the Detroit 2125 Poetry & Writing Workshop—a powerful, youth-led experience designed to uplift teen voices and celebrate African American history.
Highlights:
- Check-in opens in the Community Room from 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM.
- Kick off the day with an energizing drum circle leading participants upstairs to the iconic Rotunda.
- Teens will dive into a dynamic, future-focused workshop co-hosted by InsideOut Literary Arts and six incredible teen facilitators, in partnership with the Wright Museum.
This immersive experience is crafted for teens ages 13 and up, blending spoken word, storytelling, and writing inspired by the museum’s powerful collection. It’s a chance to explore identity, history, and imagination from the heart of the second-largest African American museum in the U.S.
