Lo-Fi Slam
In Partnership with InsideOut Literary Arts
The 2026 Lo-Fi Slam is a two-round poetry battle where Detroit’s brightest teen voices (ages 13–18) spit truth, dream out loud, and go head-to-head for a cash prize!
Hosted by the incomparable multi-hyphenated artist La Shaun phoenix Moore, this night is all heart, all grit, all possibility. Come cheer, snap, and show love to the next wave of storytellers shaping our city’s sound.
Three cash prize winners will be chosen by a pre-selected panel of judges. Lo-Fi is open to any teen in the Metro Detroit area. Audience admission is free! Teens interested in competing MUST register at the link below. There is NO day-of sign-up for this slam.
