Critically Acclaimed Cartoonist Keith Knight comes to The Charles H. Wright Museum November 13th 

WHO: Keith Knight — Award-winning cartoonist, comics creator, and cultural commentator. Knight is the creator of The K Chronicles, (Th)ink, and The Knight Life, and co-creator of the Hulu series Woke. His work blends sharp humor with powerful social commentary, earning him accolades such as the Comic-Con Inkpot, CXC Master Cartoonist Award, Harvey Award, multiple Glyph Awards, and nominations for both an Eisner and an NAACP Image Award.

WHAT: The Wright Conversations is a signature lecture series at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, featuring thought-provoking presentations and audience dialogue with leading voices in art, culture, social justice, and education. This installment features Keith Knight in an engaging talk about race, media, and using comics as a tool for social change.

About Keith Knight 
Keith Knight is one of the most influential and prolific cartoonists of his generation. Best known for his autobiographical strip The K Chronicles, his bold, socially conscious work has appeared in a wide array of publications and media. His career reached new heights with Woke on Hulu—a semi-autobiographical comedy series he co-created, wrote, and executive produced.

The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History was founded in 1965 and is in the heart of Midtown Detroit’s Cultural Center. The Wright Museum’s mission is to open minds and change lives through the exploration and celebration of African American history and culture. And Still We Rise: Our Journey Through African American History and Culture — the museum’s 22,000 square foot, immersive core exhibit — is one of the largest, single exhibitions surveying the history of African Americans. The Wright Museum houses over 35,000 artifacts and archival materials and offers more than 300 public programs and events annually.
