Earth Month 2024
Sustainability lies at the heart of the Wright Museum and its mission. In recent years, the museum has expanded its community programs that promote environmental stewardship and undertaken renovations that make our facilities more eco-friendly.
But the Wright's commitment to the planet doesn't simply stop at our doors. And we hope our guests will carry it with them -- literally -- well after their visit. For this reason, the museum will provide free reusable bags to the first 75 visitors (excluding group tours) each day in April in honor of Earth Month.
These colorful totes will display the Wright name and logo, and a positive message about sustainability. Guests will be offered a bag upon admission to the museum while supplies last. Only one bag per guest will be given.
NO MOW MAY
This May, The Wright Museum will participate in "No Mow May" so expect our greens to look a little long this month. The Wright will participate in the No Mow May movement and halt our usual landscaping for the month.
This simple act allows our grass and gardens to fully bloom. It also helps provide food for pollinators, such as bees and butterflies. Pollinators are vital to the health of our environment and help give life to new plants that sustain ecosystems.
The Wright is committed to being a conscientious steward of our environment, and finding new ways, large and small, to contribute to a vibrant ecosystem. Many city buildings, cultural institutions and businesses choose to participate in the No Mow May movement.
Want to be involved? Join us! You can reduce your own lawn care or plant a garden in your community.
