On Friday, August 6th, during a press conference to announce The Wright's 38th Annual African World Festival, Detroit City Council Pro Tem Mary Sheffield presented a Spirit of Detroit Award to the Museum. Received by our President & CEO Neil Barclay, this prestigious award is only given to a person, event or organization for an outstanding achievement or service to the citizens of Detroit.
