At The Wright, we're committed to not only preserving Black history and culture, but to protecting the earth of our present and future. Join us as we collectively shape our vision for museum sustainability, and let your voice be heard in line with our guiding principles! These principles will create the foundation for future green initiatives. 

Agenda

  • Energy: Hear about Jefferson Chalmers’ Community Treehouse's solar powered Shine-A-Light project and learn about how to implement the concept of Community Solar
  • Water: Tour our newest Sankofa porous pavers project and learn about our Green Stormwater infrastructure.
  • Food: Learn more about Detroit Independent Freedom Schools Movement's urban garden, and Detroit's food security scene.

Enjoy friends, refreshments, and great conversation! This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
