Celebrating Dr. Carter G. Woodson | Lecture, Book Signing, Q&A

Presented in partnership with ASALH Detroit, this event is free and open to the public, and will be hosted from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

"Celebrating Dr. Carter G. Woodson, The Father of Black History Month & Black Self-Determination" is the title of the address that will be delivered by Daryl Michael Scott, PhD.

Dr. Scott is a professor and former chair of US History at Howard University, former president of ASALH: Association for the Study of African American Life and History and editor of Carter G. Woodson's Appeal, a lost manuscript.

Dr. Scott will host a question-and-answer session as well as a book signing after the lecture.
