African World Festival Parking
Friday - Sunday, August 16 - 18, 2013
Due to staging requirements for the festival, free parking is NOT provided. The following are suggested parking options.
PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL TO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND NEIGHBORS AND DO NOT PARK IN PRIVATE RESIDENCE PARKING LOTS OR SPACES - YOU WILL BE TOWED AND FACE FINES AND/OR IMPOUNDMENT.
Be mindful when parking at meters - City of Detroit Parking Enforcement Officers will be on duty for the full weekend until 10:00 pm each evening.
Parking tickets may range $20-$30. Local parking structures are generally $5 per vehicle.
CULTURAL CENTER PARKING LOT
Open until Midnight. Enter on John R Street (Located immediately behind The Wright Museum).
WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY PARKING STRUCTURES
Open until Midnight
Structure #3 – Rackham Building
East Warren Avenue, between Woodward Ave. & John R St. (One block from The Wright Museum)
Putnam Street, between Woodward & Cass Avenues (Putnam is the side street on the south side of the Main Library)
Woodward Avenue between Forest & Canfield Streets (Enter on Woodward or Cass Ave.)
Street parking, metered and not, may be available in the immediate area. PLEASE BE MINDFUL AND RESPECT OUR NEIGHBORS.
